The Photographer Life

Swipe Right to Happily Ever After
I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Heidi and Joey’s wedding ceremony, and this one felt extra special to me…
Back in August 2022, I photographed the beautiful wedding of Suzanna & Patrick. During the day, a guest asked if I could snap a few photos of him for his dating profile. I happily obliged, you never know where a good photo might lead!
Fast forward to February 2025, when I received a message from Heidi asking about availability for their big day. She wrote:
“My partner asked you to take some photos of him for his bumble profile and it was clearly very effective as a few months later we met on bumble (with said photos being used) and 3 years on we’re now getting married.”
I couldn’t believe it, what a full-circle moment! To think that a simple photo taken on a whim helped bring two people together, and now I’ve had the honour of capturing their wedding. It’s truly one of those reminders of why I love what I do.
From guests to brides!
I had the pleasure of capturing Mariece and Ferne’s beautiful wedding in July, especially meaningful since I previously photographed Mariece’s sister Amber’s wedding last year!
The day started with bridal preparations; a touching highlight was documenting the first look with their dads, then between the brides. The ceremony itself was intimate, surrounded by their close friends and family. The reception was a joyful celebration with a relaxed party vibe.
I can’t wait to finish their gallery, and I hope these photos bring back beautiful memories for Mariece and Ferne for years to come.
I truly believe word of mouth is so powerful for businesses like mine. I love connecting not just with the couple, but also with their guests. Chatting and building those relationships helps everyone feel more relaxed during photos, and it often leads to future bookings like this wedding. It’s the best feeling knowing I’ve made a good impression and that others want to work with me too!
What's Your vibe?
I love how each couple personalises their wedding day, making it a true reflection of their love and personalities. Whether it’s a grand celebration or an intimate gathering, every wedding becomes a uniquely special moment for the couple and their loved ones.
Abi and Marley’s wedding was full of vibrant energy from start to finish. From getting ready to their lively wedding breakfast entrance accompanied by a High School Musical song, to singing waiters getting everyone on their feet during the meal. The dance floor in the evening was packed, and the celebration truly radiated joy and fun.
In contrast, Hannah and Rob opted for a more relaxed and intimate vibe. They exchanged vows in a beautiful outdoor ceremony beneath a wisteria-covered arbour, surrounded by their closest family and friends. The day was serene, filled with genuine smiles, laughter, and a sense of calm happiness.
Both weddings were distinct in style, yet both were overflowing with love and laughter. These beautiful celebrations remind us that your wedding day can be unforgettable, no matter how you choose to celebrate, big or small, energetic or tranquil. It’s all about creating a day that reflects who you are as a couple.
Wedding Season
Wedding season is in full swing, and I’ve been lucky enough to capture some truly wonderful moments so far! From spectacular fireworks displays at Pam and Nick’s wedding to the enchanting ‘dancing on the clouds’ during Bridget and Ben’s first dance, each celebration has brought its own unique flair. I can’t wait to see how all my amazing couples personalise their special day.
A quick heads-up: I’ve received a few enquiries for weddings later this year which I’ve unfortunately had to turn down. I’m mostly booked up, so if you’re thinking about having me as your photographer, please reach out soon with your dates. And for those planning ahead for next year - my calendar fills up quickly for popular weekends and months! Don’t miss your chance to have me there to capture your unforgettable moments.
Spring has sprung!
Spring has officially sprung, and everywhere you look, nature is putting on a breathtaking show with vibrant blossoms, daffodils, and bluebells.
I had the delight of hosting my Mother’s Day Mini-Photoshoots at Frimley Lodge in March, where a stunning blossom tree, daffodils and canal set the perfect backdrop. It was a glorious sunny day filled with laughter and beautiful moments; thanks to the wonderful families that joined me. I was especially thrilled to see many familiar faces who returned for another session. It warms my heart to know they loved their previous photos enough to come back for more!
Just last weekend, I had the pleasure of capturing a lovely family of three generations at Winkworth Arboretum. We enjoyed a relaxed stroll through the picturesque grounds, blending natural candids with some lightly posed shots. The carpet of bluebells added an extra sprinkle of magic to our day.
